Located on it’s own private island known as Motu Akaiami in the beautiful Aitutaki Lagoon is Akaiami Paradise. Akaiami Paradise is a private one bedroom beach lodge, that enjoys a beautiful beachfront and lush tropical garden views. The beachfront is embedded with gently swaying coconut palm trees.

The island itself is a historical site being the former landing strip for TEAL flying boats which regularly stopped for servicing or during bad weather conditions when we had the coral route in the 1940’s and 50’s. The lodge has in fact been rebuilt on the exact spot where the original TEAL terminal stood and has been built to keep in line with the original design.

The lodge accommodates a maximum of six people. It has one bedroom, a large dining/lounge area, fully equipped kitchen, mini library, en-suite bathroom, insect screens, and a sundeck with outdoor furniture to relax on. There is no TV, DVD, or Radio or any other gadgets to distract you from truly enjoying peace and quiet on the spectacular white sandy beach.

Although you will be on your own private island, you will not be isolated. You will be visited daily. Lagoon cruises can be arranged, where passing day cruises will pick you up for a day of fun in the sun, snorkelling and BBQ lunch before returning back to Akaiami.

You can bring supplies and cook in the full kitchen or meals can be arranged for you. Exclusive evening entertainment can also be arranged and can consist of a solo ukulele to a full string band or a small dance group.

All transfers on Aitutaki are included and will include a stop at a convenience store before your 15 minute ferry to Akaiami Island.
